Transport advice for changes to approved schemes.
Transport reviews for revised layouts, parking changes, increased occupancy and amended operating hours on approved developments.
A modest design change can alter an access, remove a turning space or change when traffic arrives. We check whether the approved transport evidence still supports the revised proposal.
Establish what has been approved
We review the decision notice, approved plans, transport documents and relevant conditions or obligations. We then compare the proposed change against that agreed position.
The planning consultant should confirm the appropriate amendment route and its national procedure. We do not assume that every change can be handled through the same form of application.
Assess the change, not the whole project again
The review focuses on the consequences: additional trips, different vehicle types, displaced parking, changed servicing or altered access geometry. Existing surveys and models can sometimes be retained if they remain suitable.
Where the evidence needs updating, we explain why and scope that work. A revised tracking drawing may be sufficient in one case; changing the use or scale may require a broader assessment.
Keep the drawings and evidence consistent
We prepare a technical note, revised plan checks or an updated assessment as needed. The submission identifies which assumptions remain valid and which have changed.
If an amendment affects an approved management plan or condition, the planning team needs to address that relationship too. A new layout should not silently conflict with the approved servicing arrangements.
Your brief and our fee
Send the permission, approved and proposed drawings, original transport submission and a clear description of the changes. We will identify what can be reused and what needs refreshing.
We confirm the deliverables, information needed, programme and fee before starting. Survey costs, third party charges and additional design or consultation are identified in the scope. We do not promise a council decision date or an approval.
