The county’s transport development management page identifies the Planning Streets and Places guide and separates development management from adoption and construction matters, including Section 38 and Section 278 agreements. Check the current guide rather than assuming an archived shared design reference remains the starting point.
Where a layout is constrained by levels, establish the access gradients and pedestrian route early. A swept path on a flat plan does not settle the vertical alignment or inclusive access. Coordinate this with the drainage and landscape design.
For visitor, leisure or employment uses, agree survey periods around the proposed activity. State the evidence needed to assess the actual issue and avoid commissioning a standard survey package before the scope is clear.
